God's Green Earth and Us

Dee Norleen

Genesis 1:29 God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it.  They will be yours for food...." And so we were instructed to seek our food from the plant life growing around us.  And whether you believe in God or not, the value of earths green bounty for our bodies cannot be denied.  Plants are known to balance the body, not only providing our necessary nutrients but also remedying illness and disease. Our food, our medicine.

Before the rise of western pharmaceutical medicine around the turn of the last century herbalism was THE source for well being. As far back as 5,000 years ago when Ayurvedic medicine was established in India, herbalism has been utilized and developed as the source for wellness, moving into China, Greece and then the west. Traditional forms of herbalism have been the global platform for healing in most countries, and in many, still are.

The beauty of herbalism is its perfect suitability for the human body.  Plants and people are bio organic, we are designed to go together.  Our bodies react perfectly to the composition of plants, thereby enabling body balance through their interaction with our systems.  Understanding plant energetics and human constitutions is a simple science. and the positive advantages of all-natural wellness alternatives are our divine right.

Today we are suffering with many new dis-eases.  Most of us understand the culprits to be processed and modified food sources and synthetic substances. Our modern medicines are loaded with side-effects and disclaimers, our foods are making us sick.  There is no better time to turn to the plants for our health and well-being.  The plant kingdom is amazingly diverse, and designed to provide all we need within each bio region of the world.  Don't get me wrong, I eat meat, too, but it's the plants that provide every necessary nutrient as well as the power to heal.
